“However, sometimes medical help is not enough to save lives, and it is then that the organization will speak out to raise awareness so that some action can be taken.” (P. 95)

I like how Doctors Without Borders isn’t JUST about giving people medical attention. They understand that sometimes medical help is not enough and make it a goal to speak out for the people whose voices aren’t heard. Their organization is about helping the disadvantaged—I would love to be a part of an organization such as this.

That would be cool if Tim could join Doctors Without Borders as an acupuncturist and I could tag along. We could go on one of those six month missions in a war torn country—that would open our eyes to what’s going on in developing countries and give us an opportunity to help.
